ENG (VNG) Electronistagmografia and Balance Test

ENG is based on placement of electrodes around eye ball, and on recording of eye movements (nistagmus) caused by corneoretinal potential difference. Vestibulo ocular reflex (VOR), demonstrated by these tests, means compensating eye movements caused by simultaneous stimulation of labyrinth receptors during pressure movement. VNG (videonistagmografia) records the images of eye movements (nistagmus) caused by head movements.
