Stroke Rehabilitation

Stroke rehabilitation is the evaluation of the person in terms of physical, cognitive, spiritual and medical aspects, and the creation of personalized therapy strategies based on all these evaluation results.

Rehabilitation Program;

• Patient-centered treatment approach.
• Education of patients and family members about the disease.
• Joint range of motion exercises in the acute period.
• Preventive measures for complications such as pressure sores, deep vein thrombosis, contractures.
• Optimal care of pre-formed wounds.
• Turning over in bed, building bridges and sitting.
• Balance coordination exercises (with balance device).
• Mobilization studies inside and outside the parallel bar.
• Treatment with rehabilitation methods such as PNF, Bobath, Johnston.
• LOKOMAT exercises to regain the walking pattern.
• Balance, coordination, muscle strengthening and walking exercises under the supervision of an expert in the treatment pool.
• Clinical pilates.
• Management of spasticity with medical, physical therapy agents and orthoses
• Special applications such as modified constrained therapy (forced use therapy) and johnston method, in which the healthy side is prevented with a special suspension orthosis and the aim is to regain the lost functions by teaching daily living activities and self-care activities to the sick side.
• Occupational therapy and exercises for daily living functions.

During the rehabilitation process, the person is evaluated in terms of speech, swallowing, respiratory problems and cognitive problems and is treated with speech and swallowing therapy, respiratory therapy and cognitive rehabilitation methods.
