WHAT IS A CHECKUP ?

When and Why Should You Have a Checkup ?

The purpose of a  check up is to investigate and detect any risks before they happen. This increases the life expectancy of the individual, and determines the point at which people take precautions against diseases before they occur and their health is regulated.

Today 80% of disease is due to genetic factors but due to lifestyle and nutritional disorders we are seeing diseases effecting people’s lives much earlier. Manyof these diseases can be prevented or delayed with accurate and timely intervention. With certain diseases there are many risk factors which increase the chance of actually getting the disease.Below you will see some of the risk factors of the many diseases. Please pay attention to the similarities between the risk factors. Risk factors for cardiovascular disease are advanced age, family history, hypertension, hiperkollestrole my diabetes, smoking, obesity and sedentary lifestyle must be considered. Risk factors for patients with Type 2 diabetes  are advanced age, family history, hypertension, hiperkollestrole, smoking, obesity, sedentary lifestyle and polycystic ovary syndrome must be considered as a risk.

Risk factors for kidney failure are advanced age, genetics, diabetes, hypertension, otoümm diseases, malignancies, chemical and environmental factors. Risk factors in cancer patients are advanced age, family history, smoking and environmental carcinogens, certain viruses and radiation can be considered. A healthy lifestyle is necessary to be healthy and prolong life. According to the data of 2014, the average life expectancy for men in our country  is 73 years and 79 years for women. The average life expectancy in 1900 according to  statistical information  in the United States  was age 46 for men and 49 for woman, age 60(men)-63 (women) in the 1930s, in the 1950s,  65 for men and 70 for women, age 70 men and 75 women in the 1990s, and in 2010 it was 76 for men and  81 years for women.  Every 10 years there is an increase in the life expectancy due to advanced medical knowledge, technologies and intervention. When an analysis was done in 2014 the statistics showed that regarding heart disease and early death  40.4% was due to cardiovascular disease and 20.7% was due to cancer. With early detection and treatment disease can be controlled by up to 95%. A Check-up  provides an important opportunity to determine our general health and the measures we need to take to stay healthy, and in the detection of individual risk factors. Ideally we would wish to invite everyone to have a yearly health check with their doctor to ensure a healthy future and longivity.
